Ken Brander selected Chinook Multimedia to set up a website for his new business, Clarium Fraud and Compliance Solutions. He launched the company soon after his retirement from the Edmonton Police Service.

For several years, Ken's work has taken him all over the world. Recent examples include serving with the Canadian Police Contingent investigating money laundering, corruption, and terrorist financing in Kabul, Afghanistan; standing up the unit of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team investigating money laundering in the province; and helping local investigators establish good governance and anti-corruption practices in Malawi. Although Chinook Multimedia had several years of experience developing training courses for the Edmonton Police Service, Ken was certainly not our typical client.

Working with Ken was both challenging and enjoyable from our first meeting in Starbucks. ClariumFCS offers fraud, anti-money laundering, litigation support, anti-corruption, and training solutions to its clients. Our work began with research into ClariumFCS competitors. To provide the worthwhile search engine optimization and editorial assistance, we tried to learn a little bit about Ken's areas of business expertise. We discussed Ken's current and future requirements for the website and came up with a budget and timetable that could work for Ken. One of our first tasks was to develop a logo that captured one of Ken's top priorities, helping small dealers in precious metals ans stones to comply with Canada’s anti-money laundering laws and regulations. Ken provided great content, which made the editing much easier. We met regularly during the project (more Starbucks) to discuss design, programming, and content solutions.

The website itself leverages the Joomla content management system to provide a wealth of content for current and future clients, including:

Ken maintains the website himself, with Chinook providing hosting and other support as needed. We continue to meet at Starbucks to catch up on news, review the website's performance, and discuss future requirements. Thanks Ken for being such a great client!
